Ski Areas & Sno-Parks

Oregon is home to 12 unique ski and snowboard areas, ranging from affordable mom-and-pop resorts to world-class destinations. Those resorts, located along the iconic Cascade Range and in mountain ranges across Southern and Eastern Oregon, offer lessons and equipment rentals for all ages and ability levels.

Meanwhile, Oregon’s sno-parks at the base of the mountains are playgrounds for winter activities like Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and tubing.

To avoid the stress of winter driving and parking, consider taking public transit to the mountain whenever possible. Many guided snow tours include transportation as well. You can learn a new skill, improve your own skills, experience a wintry location in a new light and gain a deeper connection to the land when you go snowshoeing with an expert under a full moon or along Crater Lake’s rim, for instance.

If you choose to drive to the mountain, be sure to check TripCheck.com for current weather and road conditions.
