Tigard

In 1852, Wilson Tigard bought a 320-acre land claim with two Spanish cows.

Once the electric railroad arrived in 1910, the burg became a town. Today, Tigard bustles with recreation (golf, bowling, Fanno Creek Trail), shopping (Washington Square) and culture (Broadway Rose Theatre Company) as well as its own unique salute to summer, the Festival of Balloons, each June.
