Absolutely the worst dining experience ever!
Had Thanksgiving reservations at 4:30 pm for our 8 family members. Seating in empty back room yet you had to check in up front and wait for a lengthy time. Buffet style with entrees each in warmers. Warmer areas were filthy and they told us they were out of dressing! When I told them we had reservations an employee said, “we will take 25 cents off your bill! Dessert was one inch slices of pumpkin pie which had been sitting out in a state of disarray! My family has eaten here before with no problems but whoever managed this Thanksgiving dinner needs to be fired! The food display was nasty! We left and fortunately found the Portage Restaurant open and received a very good meal with good service! I’d give this experience MINUS 5 stars!

We were greeted and seated quickly but then we waited and waited and waited for our server to show. We were just about ready to leave when she finally arrived at our table. She tried to take our drink order and leave but we said we were ready to order. The loaded tots were quite tasty with ample cheese and toppings. The steak in the steak salad had a weird taste to it, like it was old or something. We would have sent it back but we never saw our server again until she dropped the bill on the table as she passed by. The crispy chicken burger was ok and the fries were hot.

Thank you for a delightful visit!
We are visiting from Georgia where we’re accustomed to good food and friendly hospitality. Cousins did not disappoint! Our waitress, Azura ( sp?) was delightful and very helpful. We are two couples in our 70s, and don’t eat much, so each couple shared a meal. To our delight, she split the salads in advance, and brought each of us a plated salad. Then an even greater surprise was that the main dish - country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and zucchini - was separately plated so we didn’t have the messy task of forking half the food to another plate. The food was delicious and the bread pudding and cherry pie were delicious!!

Try the chicken fried steak!
We decided to eat at a country restaurant and found this one! Destinee and all the staff their are great and so is the farm like atmosphere. Well done, the food and drinks were delicious especially the chicken fried steak dinner!

Maybe I hit it at a bad time but I was very disappointed. Food was expensive, which I don’t mind, but it was awful. The mashed potatoes were like paste. The chicken fried steak was burned. The service would have been appropriate for a fast food joint. I tried for breakfast and they had a “wait list” for the restaurant despite no one being in the lobby and at least 10 empty tables. Service was available in the bar, but I decided to pass. Please note: this is no reflection on the hotel, which was absolutely lovely.
