The Stahlman Point Trail (#3449) is a moderate 2.5 mile trail. Occasional viewpoints of Detroit Reservoir. Trail ends at former lookout site, overlooking the reservoir and the towns of Detroit and Idanha, and providing a nice view of Mt. Jefferson to the southeast. Loose rock on the last several feet approaching the top. No drinking water. Forested, second-growth and old-growth. Good variety of shrubs and woodland plants.
Directions: From Detroit: From Detroit Ranger Station travel east on Hwy. 22 for 4.5 miles; turn right onto Blowout Road #10; go about 3.5 miles to trailhead.
