We’ve partnered with Roadtrippers to provide a great way to plan a trip around Oregon. So start planning your next road trip to here, there or pretty much anywhere in Oregon.

Gold Hill Trail is a moderate 3.7 mile hike at an elevation of 3,900 feet. This trail climbs to a ridge line as you travel southwest to Tidbits Mountain. On the way, you meander through mature and old-growth mixed conifers forest. Columnar rock outcroppings above the route are a delight to the curious eye. Trail maintenance is periodic, so hikers will occasionally need to traverse below-down. Persevere and you will be rewarded with a challenging hike and a panoramic view from the top of Tidbits Mountain.

Directions: From Sweet Home: Travel east on Hwy. #20 for 14.2 miles to Forest Road 2022 (Canyon Creek Road.) Turn right and travel 15.7 miles to the junction of Forest Road 1509. Turn right and travel less than 0.5 miles to trailhead on the right hand side. There is no parking lot, look for trailhead signs.
