The Heart Lake Day Use Area is a popular fishing area in a secluded forest niche. Facilities include a picnic table and fire grate, a boat ramp, an outhouse and a parking area. Activities include boating (electric motors only, and a 5 mph speed limit), bird watching, wildlife viewing, fishing, and swimming.
Directions: From Bly: Travel 13 miles east on Highway 140, and turn right on Forest Road 3715. Take Forest Road 3715 (paved but narrow) for 7 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 012. Continue on Forest Road 012 for 1 mile and you should see the picnic area entrance.
