Plan your next road trip around Wildhorse Resort & Casino, where fun, luxury and the spirit of the American West collide. Located near Pendleton, about three hours east of Portland, Wildhorse rises from the wide-open landscape of Eastern Oregon at the base of the Blue Mountains on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. In addition to gaming, this flagship destination offers a resort hotel, a cinema, a Family FunPlex, and a nearby 18-hole championship golf course, which means everyone can find a way to unwind. Here’s how to plan your next visit.

Go Golfing, Play Arcade Games and Soak Up Native Culture
Named one of the nation’s top casino golf courses, Wildhorse’s 18-hole championship golf course overlooks rolling farmland beneath the peaks of the Blue Mountains. Make an afternoon tee time to catch Eastern Oregon’s famous sunsets, or book a lesson with on-staff PGA professionals to work on that swing.
If indoor activities are more your speed, you’ll find fun for all ages at the Family FunPlex with bowling, arcade games and movies. Aspen Lanes bowling center houses 24 lanes, including 8 boutique lanes with cozy lighting set back from the main alley, as well as private-party rooms to celebrate special occasions in style. Enjoy comfortably plush seating, food service, and access to a full bar. From 10 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays, the lights dim and things get a little wild for all-you-can-play cosmic bowling.
Or head over to the arcade, where more than 30 new and classic games await your high scores. Rack up points on Minecraft Dungeons, Godzilla Kaiju Wars Deluxe and Combo Boxer. Or catch a movie at the five-screen Wildhorse Cineplex, with comfortable theater seats, surround sound and 3D screens.
The centerpiece Wildhorse Casino is always open for a good time, 24 hours a day. This Class III gaming floor offers a taste of Vegas with slot machines, table games, live keno, bingo and poker. Or, if you’re seeking some quiet, visit the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute, next door. As you walk through the museum, you’ll witness the past, present and future of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, including exhibits of traditional arts and artifacts as well as photographs from significant points in tribal history.

Savor Fine Dining and Comfort Eats
Great dining is another part of the fun at Wildhorse Resort & Casino. Start your day with a coffee and made-to-order omelet cup or biscuits and gravy at Wild Roast Coffee & Deli. For lunch head for the food court for classics at Burgers & More, seafood at Native-owned Brigham Fish ’n Chips or Vietnamese, Thai and Cambodian bites at Moe Pho. Or grab carne asada fries or a Umatilla Indian taco at Traditions Dining, which also offers an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet Thursday through Sunday (don’t miss the prime rib).
For dinner pair local wine with lemon-garlic-glazed salmon or a bison skirt steak at fine-dining restaurant Plateau. Or head to downtown Pendleton to grab a table at Hamley’s Steakhouse & Saloon, a restaurant extension of the historic Hamley & Co. Western Store, which opened in Pendleton in 1905.
The Wildhorse Sports Bar offers up all-day classics like burgers and fried Wisconsin cheese curds. Golfers can gather at the Clubhouse Bar & Grill for sandwiches and flavor-packed salads like the Wildhorse Cobb. Or grab a shuttle to the Birch Creek Golf Course 20 minutes away and try a cocktail and flatbread at the Grill at Birch Creek.
Follow up your meal with a sweet treat at Ice Cream & Pastries Sweet Shop inside the resort’s Family FunPlex Food Court — and don’t forget about the full-service Quaking Aspens Bar, slinging drinks until 10 p.m. on weekdays and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Book a Resort Suite or Sleep in a Tipi
Wildhorse’s towering resort hotel includes plush, modern rooms for couples and families, plus suites complete with wet bar and sitting area. RV travelers and campers can still stay in comfort at the Wildhorse RV Park and Tipi Village, with full-hookup spaces, a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub, plus free access to the resort’s fitness center. Pre-constructed tipi sites are also available from spring to fall (call for availability) for a unique way to experience Eastern Oregon. Tipis are unheated, and you’ll need to bring your own sleeping pads and bedding. You can also reserve a standard tent site in the RV park.
There’s even more to look forward to in 2027. Wildhorse is expanding with a second 10-story hotel tower featuring 214 additional guest rooms and suites, new dining options, and a Convention & Entertainment Center. The new venue will feature a Gala Floor System, allowing the space to transform from a flat-floor setting for meetings and banquets into tiered seating for concerts and performances, bringing more ways to gather and enjoy live entertainment in Eastern Oregon.
