    Inappropriate?

In spite of its close proximity to Portland and all the cars that zoom by on Hwy 26 on the way to other Mt. Hood destinations, Camp Creek remains somewhat of an unknown and hidden gem. The truth is that it is as charming and beautiful a forest campground as you will ever find, with towering old growth trees, lush greenery and big leafy ferns rustling in the breeze, while the Zigzag river babbles through the camp. The campsites are well-spaced apart and each one has its own unique rustic design and layout. Camp Creek is the ultimate proof that sometimes you don’t have to go too far to “getaway from it all.”
