Brookings is located on America’s Wild Rivers Coast and has some of the warmest temperatures on the coast. The southern entry to the Oregon Coast is a base camp for recreation on Chetco, Rogue, Elks and Sixes rivers, a center for commercial flower growing and tourism. Brookings-Harbor boasts the challenging 18-hole Salmon Run Golf Course and hosts the three-day Slam’n Salmon Oyster Derby over Labor Day Weekend, the largest fishing derby in the Pacific Northwest.

Brookings is located in Oregon Coast, home to 363 miles of secluded beaches, sand dunes, crashing waves, lighthouses and towering forests.

This area includes the nearby subregion: Wild Rivers Coast.

Nearby cities are: Gold Beach, Cave Junction / Illinois Valley, Port Orford, and Grants Pass.
