Draper Girls Country Farm is a family-run farm in Hood River Valley, Oregon. Visitors can enjoy u-pick fruit throughout the seasons, from peaches, cherries, apple, pears and more! The farm also offers an on-site store featuring fresh produce, locally-made jams, jellies, canned goods, non pasteurized cider and their award-winning boutique hard ciders on tap.
The farm is located approximately 12 miles south of Hood River on Highway 35 in Mt. Hood, Oregon.
Nice location and fruit site, but a bit on the expensive side in comparison to other orchards we visited on the "Fruit Loop". We would probably return for another visit, however, should we do the "loop" again in the future. Just would buy our apples at our other orchard where we found the same fruit for much less!
Found the fruit loop and Draper Girls. We picked up snacks to have while travelling around the area. Apples, pear, cheeses, and ciders. We picked up 3 ciders. Our favorites were apple and cherry ciders! You can visit the goats and see the farm area after you've made a purchase. Fun place to visit and get snacks!
We visited on a Saturday and despite the crowd, the staff was friendly, informative and very helpful. We picked our own apples and sampled every variety till we found the ones that suited our taste.
Trying the ciders was fun. I think it was a crab apple that tasted like a good champagne - which was a big surprise. We picked up some cherries & peaches. Both fruits were so very good. There's a lot in the shop to check out & the customer service was wonderful. Stop by if you are in the area!
Fresh fruit, cider to sample, flowers to walk through, and goats to feed. Something for everyone. Didn't care for all the cider flavors, but it was interesting doing a tasting.
