Rude
Yeah no. I sent an email enquiring about wines and a visit weeks before going on the trip. These folks didn't even bother to respond, so I didn't bother to go or bother to spend my time or money on them. Anyways I went to Cherry Hill Vineyard and they treated me amazingly! Love Oregon. I do not recommend this witness tree veneyard. Poo on them.

Tasting room deals right now as they sell out
This winery has been sold to a larger group that did not buy the brand. The owner sold and is not getting rid of the excellent stock at bargain prices. They offer a great case of Viogner for $100 and pinot blanc also. They have some 2011's on sale for half price and that vintage is showing really really well. So sad to see them leave and hope the new group brings the same quality.

Gone down hill
This used to be one of my favorite Pinot wineries. The owner was a character and warm and gracious. Things have changed. The grape vines are diseased and being ripped out. It seems that the winery has been sold and they are selling off the existing inventory. The biggest issue that the wine being poured for 10 per person wasn't as good as before. I heard later that the diseased vibes didn't help the product. I would visit Bethel Heights and Cristdom instead.

Really?
We ventured to this winery based on the Fodor's recommendation, but we had a wholly different experience. The woman staffing the "tasting room" seemed genuinely shocked to see visitors. The wines were good, but there are many better winery experiences.

Interesting history, great whites!
This was the first of four wineries we visited on a grey, overcast autumn day. This small, but very friendly winery is perched below The Tree, an ancient oak which apparently served as a surveyers' landmark over 160 years ago. Liz, who served us, recounted the history of the winery and the origin of the various grapes, while leading us through a tasting of the impressive wines. Inexpensive at $5, the tasting permitted us to sample some of the delightful white wines of the Eola Hills wine region.
