About Troon Vineyard

Troon Vineyard

The Southern Oregon wines of Troon Vineyard are inspired by the wines of Southern France.

Place names like Madiran, Cahors, Bandol and the Languedoc have provided the varieties which shine in our vineyards high in the Siskiyou Mountains. We practice Biodynamic and organic agriculture and winemaking and our wines are only fermented with their native yeasts without additives. Our varieties are ideal for our climate and soils and include Vermentino, Marsanne, Roussanne, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Tannat and Malbec. Our wines have received over sixty reviews of 90 or more points in just over the last year. Please visit our tasting room to enjoy our wines with our panoramic views of the mountains of Southern Oregon. For those that can’t make the trip to Southern Oregon, we also have a Troon Tasting Room in McMinnville in the Willamette Valley just an hour from Portland.

    Sunday Supper explained

We are fans of Troon's biodynamic, regenerative efforts and were excited to sign up for "Sunday Supper," expecting a farm-to-fork kind of meal. This is not the case, but here's the situation: on Sunday's a chef prepares a limited number of items (5 or 6) that can be ordered separately. We had beets, focaccia, hummus and a stellar chocolate/blu cheese dessert. We'd have loved a fresh salad or fruit, all in season. Our server was knowledgeable and offered good notes on the tastings, although not a lot of information on the biodynamic processes. We loved a few of the wines and took home a few bottles. Altogether, solid but not my #1.

    A magical place

We stumbled upon Troon Vineyards purely by chance - drove too far past our original vineyard destination and saw Troon was right next door. But boy, we were happy we stayed! This place is straight out of a storybook. A lush and secluded private garden coupled with rolling hills and grapevines as far as the eye can see. The wine tasting we did was low key and lovely. A perfect way to spend the afternoon. I could relax all day in that garden! Another highlight was walking by the grapes after we had finished the tasting. This was definitely one of the main highlights of our trip.

    Good wine and nice vineyard

Lovely place to stop for a great glass of wine especially on a cloudy day. I would have loved to have the fireplace on but it was ok. Employees are very helpful and friendly. Perfect way to relax on a Sunday.

Wonderful organic, regenerative and amazing wines in a beautiful space

Favorite vineyard in the area! There's a beautiful garden. We love their attention to regenerative agriculture and the wines are delicious! We came home with a case. Alaska airlines mileage plan members can check a case for no cost!
