In 1965, David Lett and his new bride Diana planted the first Pinot noir and Chardonnay vines in the Willamette Valley, and the New World’s first Pinot gris. The Eyrie Vineyards has been known for elegant, classic wines ever since their first vintage in 1970. Join them in McMinnville, at Yamhill County’s original winery, to enjoy current Eyrie releases and a taste of Oregon wine history.

Interesting History, Nice Wines
Spur of the moment trip to McMinnville led us to this tasting room. Arriving at 3 PM we were the only visitors. Our server was very familiar with both the history of this vineyard as well as the wines. We enjoyed learning about the vineyard and trying a wine we'd never had. Like most wineries and tasting rooms in the Yamhill, Dundee, Carlton area, both the wines, thus the tasting fees are higher. We were somewhat surprised that the $40 tasting fee was waived by a purchase of $120 in wine. (We did purchase some with e.) Don't pass up a chance to try the Pinot Meneur!

Intimate tasting experience for small groups
Unexpected gem hidden amidst the warehouses of Alpine Avenue. Within an intimate tasting room, knowledgeable staff explain the intricacies of each wine whilst telling the story of where it is from. At the end of the tasting, you walk through a secret door into the library where the wine for purchase is stored. All-in-all, an excellent wine tasting experience.

Excellent Tasting Room
Eyrie Vineyards boasts some of the oldest vineyards in Oregon and the team here makes amazing wine. The tasting room is smaller in size, but the experience is very personal on that account. Don’t miss out on these lovely wines.

Great tasting experience
Ed and Easton took great care to make sure our tasting was special. They let the superb wines speak for themselves but guided us through the tasting with information about the mindset of production, historical anecdotes and perspective with a dose of wit. Great experience.
