Who knew, there was a Sake brewery in Forest Grove!
Not only do they brew Sake on site, they also import some of the best available. How did we find them? We were driving around the area looking for fruit/vegetable stands. Hubby said hey look a Sake Brewery! Of course I said ooohhhh, we gotta stop! We are going to have to return to try another flight. AVB is high in sake, it went to my head... I'm still giggling. Yeah, we bought 3 bottles, each so different and totally amazing! They have charcuterie goodies if you need a little nosh. Presented in a basket with cutting board and two knives. Steven our guide, was very knowledgeable and helped lead us astray. (Which was a good thing) lol If you want to try something different, go check them out. It was so much fun! Cheers
I love this place, they are friendly and knowledgeable. I've been here many times, tasting, summer show on the lawn, blessing ceremonies. Take the tour, it's neat.
In an area with hundreds of wineries and breweries, it was exciting to find something different. Sake One offers a nice variety of tastings with very knowledgeable and super friendly staff. The Sake process is so different that you really should take the free tour (Fri-Sun @ 1, 2 & 3, or by appointment) to learn about the fascinating process. I never thought I liked Sake until I visited Sake One!
Fabulous Sake and gift ideas,
This is one of the best Sake makers in the United States. Their packaging is beautiful, collector bottles. Very similar to a high-end wine boutique. Beautifully situated in a country setting.
The rice is nice
This is the place where I learned to love sake. This part of Oregon is chock full of breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Sake One is a great way to break up that routine. After all, when is the last time you enjoyed really good sake if ever? From sweet to dry, there is a sake here for everyone. That is really one of the best parts. We love the Momokawa silver as it is dry, crisp, and clean. Aside from their own kinds, Sake One has many imported sakes to sample. The hosts here are always friendly also. A stop here will never be regretted.
