REX HILL, a legacy winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley, has been making elegant Pinot Noir for over 35 years. In 2007, the founders sold REX HILL to the two families behind A to Z Wineworks. Case production was quickly reduced by almost 80% to refine REX HILL wines to be of the utmost quality and distinction. After an extensive renovation in 2020, REX HILL is excited to welcome guests by appointment to the beautiful new space, which combines sustainable modern elements with the deep history of the building.

Oregon Girl’s Trip!
Rex Hill was amazing! Jeff greeted us with a smile and got our pouring started. The wines were very good, my favorite was the Chardonnay. I did buy a Pinot Noir to bring home. We had a lovely cheese tray with our tasting. It complimented the wines perfectly! The scenery was so pretty and thankfully we could sit outside and enjoy the day. I highly recommend this stop!

Really nice experience
Great views and an easy location to get to for most everybody. We were able to taste only red wines which was great. The pinot noirs were really good. Witness Tree was the best pinot we tasted. We were able to taste a cab also. Doug was our server and he was quite knowledgeable.

Great Wines in a Large Tasting Room
My husband and I enjoyed visiting Rex Hill Winery. It's conveniently located right outside of Newbery, and their wines are delightful. The tasting room is gauged toward larger groups in a more institutional setting. We enjoyed the view of the vineyards while tasting their wines. Our host was very knowledgeable and hospitable.

Best to Skip This One
A beautiful winery with little hospitality. We did have reservations but the attitude at this winery was not welcoming. The wine was poured in the least scenic portion of the winery —the tunnel, and unlike the previous two Willamette wineries we visited, we came away not knowing much about this one.

Beautiful Building
Rex Hill had a beautiful tasting room. However, the staff was just okay. Not super informative. Said basically the same exact thing about every wine he poured. Snacks offered were nice but pricey. Not my favorite of the day.
