In 1998, Lynn and Ron Penner-Ash founded Penner-Ash Wine Cellars in the Northern Willamette Valley’s Yamhill-Carlton sub-AVA. The pair built their LIVE (Low Input Viticulture & Enology) Certified sustainable gravity-flow winery surrounded by a 15-acre Estate Vineyard. The building seems to spring from the land itself; a reflection of the values, spirit and winemaking philosophy of Penner-Ash. Thanks to longstanding relationships with grower neighbors and friends, Penner-Ash sources fruit from the Willamette Valley’s most distinguished vineyard sites.

Beautiful winery
Great views, beautiful winery. We was expecting great hospitality but we was little bit disappointed. The amount of wine for testing was very minimum, our host didn’t put any effort to make our day remarkable, he disappeared.

Don't miss Penner-Ashe
Breathtaking views, gorgeous gardens and outstanding wines. We had a fabulous experience. Kayla was our host and guide. We had so much fun learning about the wine making process and chatting about the tasting. She was vivacious and joyfully answered all of our questions. You have to visit Penner-Ashe and meet her to see what I mean. Of course, we left with some of our favorite wines.

Great spot!
We loved our time with Alexis here — she was the absolutely best! Beautiful views, flowers, and building, too. Very enjoyable atmosphere. And being the size they are, it’s one of the few places nearby you can do a really good side-by-side tasting of Pinot from the different local micro-AVA’s and figure out which one you like best.
