Wine paired with a view!
Hawk’s View was lovely! Food was great - very fun charcuterie board, and flatbread pizzas. The wine paired with them beautifully. The view was to die for - Mt Hood front and center, almost looked fake it was so gorgeous with the horses down below. My fave wine was their new Syrah and White Pinot was so refreshing and different. The staff was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable.

Amazing View, OK wine
This is one of the most beautiful tasting rooms and views that we saw in Willamette valley, on our trip this summer that included 10 wineries. The service is also top notch. That said it's a winery and it was in the bottom 2 of the places we visited. I don't want to discourage anyone from going but will tell you that there is better wine to be had.

Excellent view and good wine
We were traveling from Portland to Newberg when we decided to stop. We remember it was rated highly for its view and certainly did not disappoint. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio and perfect for sparkling rose. We loved the visit and enjoyed the wine.

Not Great Place for Servicing Minorities
I went to this place with my sister and sister in law for some wine excursions at 5:45pm today on a Saturday . This was our first time here. Initially the menu is small which isn't an issue. We ordered the wine tasting menu , charcuterie and a flat bread. It took a while for our food to come, and some of our order was given to another table. In our area , there was one large party and one small table near the wine bar area. Accidents happen which is fine when our order given to another table. Halfway , we asked for silverware, which never came, and the waitress said at the verrrrryyyy end when we were about to pay , that she couldn't find a fork in the kitchen. ?????? We noticed the waiters kept going over and checking on a larger party. They haven't come back till the very end of our experience when the waitress asked if we wanted anything else , as we proceeded to order, she told us that they were closed.??????? They didn't inform us there was a last call, they didn't check on us, but pretty much told us we can take a bottle to go. I can see if we were in a blind spot, but only three tables on a Saturday evening, right by the wine bar. The wine was excellent , food was decent. But service needed help. They helped everyone else except us, and it showed, I would have gladly bought a few bottles , but I cannot with the service in this place. Applebee's has better service. If you are from the younger crowd or even a minority maybe not the best place to go to. That's too bad , I wanted to like this place. I hope there is some retraining, because the lack of care and negligence showed at our table.

Welcoming Visitors Despite Covid-19
So here we were in the Willamette Valley looking to try some local wines. I had checked various websites and some wineries indicated that tasting was by appointment only and others were rather silent on how to visit. After driving to five different wineries and being turned away because we did not have an appointment, we found Hawks View. Their tastings also require reservations but we were able to sit on the deck and purchase a flight of red and white wines. They also had some appetizers for purchase. It really was a pleasant end to what had been an unexpected hiccup in our trip to the Willamette Valley.
