Fullerton Wines explores the rich and varied AVAs of Oregon by expressing the distinct personality of each vineyard and vintage in the bottle. Founded in the Fullerton family garage in 2011, the winery is a deeply personal family collaboration. Winemaker Alex Fullerton first got into the industry when his father Eric suggested the career path while wine tasting in the Willamette Valley after Alex had just graduated from the University of Oregon in 2010. That conversation led to Alex having a harvest internship with Penner Ash Wine Cellars which started the very next day. When making their first vintage in 2011, Alex and Eric made a few barrels of Pinot Noir in a garage. Despite the challenging vintage, the wine impressed, and Fullerton Wines was born.

Didn't anticipate spending so much time here ...
Had a great experience tasting and sampling from the cheese plate. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the non-pinot noir tasting list and stick to the good stuff. Very engaging staff and wonderful atmosphere.

Great wune and charcuterie
Jeff showed superior knowledge of wine making. He also tells great stories about the Fullertons, and supported by Susanna herself. The bottles and the club are great as well. Stephanie was also great!

Best Pinots in Portland!
Don't miss Fullerton wines! Some of the BEST Pinot Noir ANYWHERE. I personally love their 2013, but all of their pinots have very complex, rich flavors. This in not to say that their Chardonnays are not fabulous and have been recognized by Sunset Magazine as some of the best on the West Coast. Don't miss their tasting room and see just how great the wine is from this rising star.

Grand Opening
Dropped in on the Fullerton grand opening event at the new NW Pettygrove location after visiting their in-home tasting room in Beaverton. The new tasting room is very nice and more spacious. Eric and Susanne (and the rest of the Fullerton crew) are wonderful hosts and winemaker son Alex’s wines are excellent. Cheese and charcuterie plates were available and everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves. I understand the tasting room was closed for a short while but they are now back up and rumor has it that soon they will also have some very good beer available at the tasting room for those so inclined. I plan to make a return visit very soon.

Lovely NW urban wine bar
I love a wine bar in the city with people who actually know what they’re talking about, and this place is it. Cozy blankets on the chairs, yummy snacks like candied walnuts and plum chutney (gratis). A flight is a combo rose, various kinds of Pinot, and price waived if you purchase wine. The wine is not outrageously priced. Nice place!
