Alloro Vineyard is 110 acres of uniquely contoured, loess-derived, Laurelwood soil. Located on a southwest-facing slope in Oregon’s Chehalem Mountains, this special place is the heart and soul of our wines and is personally cared for by founder David Nemarnik. We are a limited production producer of 100% Estate wines, crafting all our wines from our sustainably farmed single vineyard site, which also hosts a diverse mixture of many other crops, plants, and animals forming an extraordinary whole farm setting. Our UC Davis educated, Burgundy trained winemaker, Tom Fitzpatrick, believes that a wine should be an “expression of place, at a moment in time” and should therefore capture the unique personality of a site as it is expressed in each vintage. Terroir-driven wines that reflect this philosophy are our focus.

Hidden Gem

This is an outstanding winery so close to Portland. The wine is excellent. The food choices, especially their bread and salads, are delicious. The staff seem happy to see you.

Beautiful and delicious!

Beautiful location - truly looks like you could be in Tuscany. Wine flight was delicious and everyone is kind and knowledgeable.

Beautiful Vineyard, beautiful wine

Alloro vineyard is amazing for pinot lovers. That's my only knock. They do pinot almost exclusively although I did hear their chardonay sold out. That said, If you love wine, go here. It was an amazing experience. The tasting room is beautiful and the grounds are amazing. The service is top notch and the staff is very knowledgeable. Our tasting took about 1 hour and covered 5 wines (all pinots) and we revisited two of them. The charcuterie is recommended and so is the estate 2014 pinot. Thanks to the entire team for a memorable experience. Can't wait to visit again.

Wine tasting

Had a great time tasting some new Pinot Noir! Staff was helpful, especially Ryan, who is very knowledgeable about the wine industry and Alloro wines in particular. We go tasting often and too many times the staff only knows how to pour the wine. Ryan has a passion for the industry and was a pleasure to meet. Wine was very good as well!

Beautiful but disappointing

This was our first stop on a bit of a drizzly day. Alloro had been highly recommended to us for its “Tuscan” feel. It was beautiful but overall didn’t have the same ambience as some other wineries we visited. The tasting room inside was on the small side and so was the patio. The tasting cost $25. We decided to share since this was just our first stop of the day. The pourings were very skimpy...barely enough for us to get two small sips each, not enough to really get a proper taste. Some wineries take off the tasting fee if you buy X number of bottles. You had to buy three here to get that deal and the wines are quite pricey. My favourite wine here was the dessert wine. Yum. I don’t know that much about Pinot Noir wines so I will not comment on them.
