We come from Jalisco, a beautiful place in Mexico where tequila was born and where the rhythm of the mariachi was first heard.

Hit the spot
We stopped in for lunch in the middle of our day trip from Portland to Hood River to take the Hood River Train. It was a good choice. Although we got there right at noon, the place wasn't busy so we had our choice of seats. Service was fast and friendly. The menu is pretty extensive. Lunch was served pretty quickly. The food was good. Nothing terribly fancy. Not very spicy but salsa and hot sauce were available. By the time we were leaving the restaurant was filling up. If I lived in Hood River, I'm sure I would be a regular customer.

Fresh and Delicious!
Wow! My Pork Chili Verde Burrito was phenomenal! We eat here a lot and we love Carlos and his family Tonight we decided to stop for dinner before heading home and I tried something new (to me) and was blown away with the great flavor. My husband had his favorite, carna Asada, and enjoyed it completely. This is a family owned restaurant and we promise you will not be disappointed!

Average
Whenever you review an ethnic restaurant you must keep in mind the origin of the reviewer, their expectations and hence, their perspective. My father was Mexican, and I’m used to intensely flavored spicy food. This meal was not( we had the beef and cheese enchiladas, rice and beans). It was filling and made with quality ingredients( the flour tortillas were a disappointment), but this is how I Imagine someone living outside the Southwest would expect their enchiladas to taste- unspiced(maybe it had spices but I couldn’t taste it), and devoid of peppers, and onions. Although it was inexpensive and a good value for price, I can only say it was disappointing.

Great Experience
Excellent food and service. Overall it was a great experience. I had the enchiladas' and the sauce was exceptional! The setting is in a part of town that is away from the main street in a small neighborhood that had several restaurants. Jus a perfect evening while we were making our way East to Tri-Cities.
