Terrific group dinner
We had a party of 19 here for a rehearsal dinner. Since our group was under 20, we were able to order off the menu. From start to finish, everything was fabulous…apps, entrees, service. I found the prices to be very fair and the selection outstanding. We highly recommend this charming restaurant, kudos to the chef team!

Great bar and restaurant, super cozy.
Super cozy bar and restaurant, with fireplaces, in a typical mountain cabin. Very attentive and friendly staff. Good food, good sandwiches, especially the salmon one, great fries. Creative drinks. Several beers. Pinot Noir Cooper Spur was a pleasant surprise. Rib is reasonable and does not come whole, very expensive (U$45). They also serve great breakfasts.

Definitely Seek this place out. Your stomach will thank you.
We had dinner and breakfast here. The food was FANTASTIC. Hubby had ribs for dinner and they were cooked perfectly. Not swimming in sauce and very tender. The sides were very good as well. Baked Potato and a Leek Salad. Don't knock it until you've tried it. I had a hamburger. It was very tasty and so big I couldn't get my mouth around it so it had to be cut. I also got the onion rings. They weren't the great big huge kind but the smaller kind. The sauce was really good that came with it. We also had prepurchased our breakfast online when we reserved our room at the Cooper Spur Mountain Resort which the office is connected to the Tavern. Hubby had an omelet with potatoes . I had scrambled eggs and bacon and also potatoes. They call them "house" potatoes and they are really different but so good. The potatoes are baked first then the chef breaks up the potatoes in haphazard pieces then deep fries them, and seasons them and boy are they yummy. For sure not your run of the mill hash browns. Who woulda thought such good food would be up in the middle of no where. The waiter for dinner was amazing. He was so fast and friendly. The waitress we had for breakfast was really friendly and informed us it could be awhile because they had a huge group come in right before us. It wasn't too terribly long to wait and the food was worth it.

Crooked Tree Tavern Delivers Homemade Deliciousness
My husband and I live in Hood River and had spent the night at Cooper Spur hoping to see the Northern Lights, but they did not show. We had dinner at the Crooked Tree Tavern, and it was awesome! The tavern was charming with period cedar walls and original woodworking refurbished to its original glory. Our evening began with an amazing margarita (Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, house-made sweet and sour) and a micro-brew beer. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich (house breaded and fried free-range all-natural chicken breast, butter leaf lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, thousand island dressing). My husband ordered the House Cheeseburger (½ pound northwest natural Mountain Shadow beef, butter leaf lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, thousand island dressing and choice of cheese). My dessert was another amazing margarita. Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. Crooked Tree Tavern delivers homemade deliciousness.

Great beer, wonderful outside seating, very slow food service
While the beer and outside seating is wonderful the food service is the slowest, we've ever encountered. Three visits over the last couple years and the wait for food, SOOOOO slow and mistakes in every order. Yes, when we finally received our food, it was good, despite the 45-50 minute wait every time and the mistakes. Just plan to sit back and not be in any hurry.
