Friendly service
We walked over here from our hotel for dinner. We decided to eat in the saloon, but it’s the same menu as the restaurant. Our server was also the bartender and she was friendly and efficient. My wife ordered their prime rib and the prime rib itself wasn’t that good, but the rest of her meal was great and they had really really hot horseradish. I opted for all day breakfast and had an excellent omelet with French toast. We also shared a huge cinnamon roll that was extra yummy. Our cocktails were also good and generous.

Great dinner and drinks!
Staying at their inn do had dinner here. I had the salmon and the wife had the chicken and waffles. Both delicious! Ate in the bar cause we wanted a drink. I had an old fashioned. Best one I’ve had outside of Wisconsin! This lady knows how to bartend! Awesome drinks!

Absolutely the worst dining experience ever!
Had Thanksgiving reservations at 4:30 pm for our 8 family members. Seating in empty back room yet you had to check in up front and wait for a lengthy time. Buffet style with entrees each in warmers. Warmer areas were filthy and they told us they were out of dressing! When I told them we had reservations an employee said, “we will take 25 cents off your bill! Dessert was one inch slices of pumpkin pie which had been sitting out in a state of disarray! My family has eaten here before with no problems but whoever managed this Thanksgiving dinner needs to be fired! The food display was nasty! We left and fortunately found the Portage Restaurant open and received a very good meal with good service! I’d give this experience MINUS 5 stars!

We were greeted and seated quickly but then we waited and waited and waited for our server to show. We were just about ready to leave when she finally arrived at our table. She tried to take our drink order and leave but we said we were ready to order. The loaded tots were quite tasty with ample cheese and toppings. The steak in the steak salad had a weird taste to it, like it was old or something. We would have sent it back but we never saw our server again until she dropped the bill on the table as she passed by. The crispy chicken burger was ok and the fries were hot.
