Enjoy the tastes of Peru without leaving the Pacific Northwest at Andina. The restaurant is rooted in family. Inspired by his family’s ties to Peru, Peter Platt opened Andina in 2003. The spirit of Andina springs from the family’s history which began when Peter’s parents, John and Doris, first met in Peru in the late 1960s.

Way over rated
Waited almost an hour for our one main course. We ordered the trout. Got steelhead. It was way overcooked. This place is way over rated. It was bad.

Arguably the best dining experience in Portland
It has been several years since we last dined at this Pearl District gem and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. Staff: top notch; friendly, attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. Wine list: varied and beautiful with a wide range of offerings at all price points. The sommelier was humble and spot on with his opinions and descriptions. We started with rose cava, followed by a 2018 Numanthia (just right!), and lastly a 20 year tawny port with dessert. We had 4 tapas, all were quite perfect, the duck ceviche being unique and exceptional. The dessert (Pot de crème chocolate) was also quite exceptional and so rich we brought most of it home. When we mentioned that some years past, we had met Doris, the owner and founder (now retired) we were delighted to be visited by Victor, her son, who carried on the tradition of familial like atmosphere that sets this establishment apart. Most surprising, however, was the email we received the next day thanking us for our patronage. To me, this is the epitome of class and business savvy. We will be back.

Sadly disappointed..
Sadly disappointed! Cocktail was fine but food dry and tough! We have a beef that was tough and sauce not great.. and a Halibut on rice that was Very poor.. Chicken looked dry (another guest ordered that) Desert of cookies I could have gotten better in Safeway.. This was our third trip and I do not think we will risk the $$$$ to go again.

Disappointed
Used to be my favorite Peruvian restaurant, creative, unique, delicious. Went last night and it was nothing like it used to be. Very few nods to the Peruvian food of the past. Salmon and quinoa $42 nothing else on the plate. Nothing spectacular or Peruvian. Lomo Saltado-i hated it. Meat and French fries and throw in some rice. Wtf. Pisco sours still good. Yuca chips delicious. So disappointed. Won’t be going back

Not Welcoming to Minorities
I came to this restaurant with my friends. We were told that walk-ins were available. But then it changed to a 45 minute wait even though a good 40% of the restaurant was empty. The entire downstairs was empty. There was no line out the door. Perhaps my minority friends were not welcome. Unacceptable.
