Canteen Bar is the brainchild of Doug and Phoebe Pedersen, also owners of Bend’s Dogwood Cocktail Cabin. Together they’ve realized their shared dream of a cocktail bar that incorporates innovative drinks, delicious tapas, and great music. Phoebe’s experience in cocktail and food creation, paired with Doug’s experience as a world-touring DJ and event promoter, lends itself perfectly to their shared vision.

Coolest new bar in Bend. The Canteen has that anywhere-in-the-world feel with an acoustic adventure appeal. Hidden and small, filled with outdoorsy and curio decor, cool vibes playing, it's like being in your favorite hostel bar, with a perfect perch above the pool and guitar circle campfire. It's inside the Campfire Hotel, and they pair nicely--the refurbed hotel has a forest campground theme. Canteen is great place for surprise date night, social travelers, and service includes sitting poolside, hottub or firepit. But the real kicker, killer food!!! They have an amazing chef, the menu is panini-mania, among other ticklish bites. They have signature drinks that are yummy, and great staff, like barkeeps Bootsie and Dalton. It's kid and pet friendly but really has an cozy adult atmosphere.
