⸻ Overall this was an average stay, but it did not match what was advertised for the price. The room itself wasn’t dirty, although the floors left our feet dirty enough that I ended up wearing socks the whole time. The front desk did warn me ahead of time that the room might not be fully up to standard, which I appreciated. The main issue was that the room did not match the photos used when booking. I paid for what was supposed to be a romantic getaway and expected the room shown online. The “Traditional King Room” photos show a newly renovated room with vaulted wood ceilings, newer furniture, and views of the field or golf course. Instead we were given a long, darker room with short ceilings and a view of blackberry bushes and neighboring buildings. There were also small water stains on the shower ceiling, a rip on the leather living room table, and older dressers and tables that were dinged up. The TV also wasn’t fully working — channels worked, but the guide and movie features were unavailable. Maintenance said the whole building’s system was down. If this were a typical chain hotel like a Best Western, I’d probably rate it around 4 stars. But for something advertised and priced as a luxury resort, it didn’t really match the expectations.

This was a lovely lodge nestled among the coastal forests. My friend's cousin, Caitlin, reserved a room for our spring getaway. Michael checked us in quickly when we arrived and we went on our way with delicious kombucha samples. We found our room easily. It was lovely! Clean, roomy, peaceful with a beautiful view of the trees outside, a balcony, and a fireplace. The beds were very comfortable. Woke up to birdsong and green trees. ♥️ The room was within easy walking distance of the main lodge under covered walkways. The gardeners hide a small glass float somewhere in the ground every day so we had a lot of fun keeping an eye out for those. The main lodge had several areas for casual gathering both inside and outside as well as a coffee shop/market and a lounge. I took my coffee outside and sipped it by the gas firepit. I wanted to spend way more than two days enjoying all this! When we checked out, we were telling Michelle about the fun we had searching, unsuccessfully, for floats. She was so kind and gave us each a float. It made our day! Mine is heading straight for a spot of honor in my garden. ♥️ Thank you, Michelle! Definitely would stay again! It was hard to leave and I'm ready for our next visit!

From the moment we arrived, he personally welcomed us and was incredibly friendly and attentive. He clearly holds his team to high standards and goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a great experience. His leadership and hospitality really stood out and made our visit memorable!

Salishan Coastal Lodge is truly a special place. The location is absolutely wonderful, surrounded by stunning coastal scenery that creates such a peaceful and relaxing experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, and perfectly captures the charm of the Oregon coast. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional.
