Since 1978, The Bay House has been much more than just a fine restaurant. Great food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting have always been their hallmarks.

Disappointing fine dining experience
I treated myself to a dinner at bay house. Based of the $$$$, I had high expectations for a fine dining experience. I ordered an expensive bottle of Chardonnay but when the server delivered it, she said it was room temperature and not chilled as they don’t sell much of it. I was ready to enjoy a chilled glass of wine while waiting for my dinner. I ordered scallops with risotto. Both were served luke warm. I had to wait while it went back to the kitchen. The second time it came it was still not hot so back it went. The third time it was better but it had not been replated but merely been reheated. This is not the experience I expect from a fine dining restaurant. The owner did discount my bill, but that did not make up for the poor dining experience

Very good meal and service
Visited midweek in early February, which is the slowest part of the low season on Oregon cast, so we had a very quiet and private experience with just a few other couples for dinner. Went with the 6 course tasting menu and it was well paced, quite tasty and with reasonable portion sizes. Everything was beautifully presented and quite tasty, maybe not quite at the level of refinement of some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited over the years but felt the meal and the whole experience was a very good value.

We will be back again and again
Steve Wilson, his chef and his staff serve excellent food, They do it with a welcoming atmosphere and you feel you are joining a family of satisfied customers. We are repeat customers who go to the Bay House on each visit to the Coast and are welcomed every time. We will keep returning.

Great meal, pleasant atmosphere, many time repeat customer.
Visited Bay House for dinner, coinciding with King tide and Christmas holiday. As usual Steve serves excellent meals in a very pleasant setting. New is a simply fantastic expansive wine list, as Steve is now using the large wine cellar (ask for a tour!) that Salishan built back in the day. The menu is price fixe, a three course build your own from several selections, or a four course with samples of everything. Either is more than enough food, and I’m a hearty eater. We both had the Piedmontese tenderloin entree, I had clam appetizers and lettuce salad, my wife had pasta appetizer and beet salad. Everything was perfect. We have been coming to the Bay house for about 25 years, through several owners and two locations, it’s always been good, it’s been particularly great with Steve running the show.
