Seal Rock

Known for its tide pools and ancient rock formations, Seal Rock comes alive with wildlife inhabiting its beaches, estuaries and forests.

Bird-watchers will enjoy the congregation of birds that use Elephant Rock as a way station while traversing the coast during seasonal migrations. Harbor seals play in the surf and doze on the small platform that gives Seal Rock its name while whales cruise by on their own seasonal journey. Seal Rock began its life as a vacation destination for early pioneers who enjoyed the small resort town. Today, it’s still a place to explore quiet beaches as well as local galleries, shops and restaurants.
