Located at the panoramic crossroads of the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Mountain Range, Hood River Valley’s 15,000 acres of orchards produce approximately 45 percent of the nation’s winter pear crop. Menus at local restaurants are dotted with homegrown specialties.
