Cowboys. Indians. Pioneers. Explorers. Moonshiners. Gamblers. Working Girls and the real Hop Sing. They are all part of Pendleton’s colorful past. And with public art, galleries, fantastic Northwest cuisine and even a symphony, you might be surprised to see how cultural the real West can be. Best known as the home of the Pendleton Woolen Mills and the Pendleton Round-Up, this area’s Western heritage also includes the Oregon Trail, explorers’ routes and stagecoach trails, among others.

Eastern Oregon

Pendleton is located in Eastern Oregon, where miles of scenic byways, alpine wilderness, working cattle ranches and basalt canyons are still the place for explorers to make their mark.

Nearby cities are: Echo, Hermiston, Milton Freewater, and Heppner.
