Pine Mountain Observatory is an astronomical observatory operated by the University of Oregon Department of Physics under a special use permit from the Deschutes National Forest. The facility is located 26 miles southeast of Bend, Oregon near the summit of Pine Mountain.
Public nights are offered at the observatory from late spring through early fall. Two weekends a month Friday/Saturday nights, late May through September, all are invited to look through the telescopes and ask questions.
