Created in the Scottish Heathlands style, Tetherow has all the elements of a links golf course with wonderful vistas of the Cascade Mountain Range. For a limited time, you may play Tetherow Golf Club without the required overnight stay.

Fescue grasses cover the entire property and blend wonderfully with the native volcanic rock and rolling topography. There is plenty of movement on the greens at Tetherow. They will accept a ball played in the Scottish style, along the ground, or welcome shots from high in the sky. Ball placement is critical to leave yourself with a reasonable attempt to hole putts of any length.

Way below expectations

Course must be desperate for revenue. Did not tell us greens were recently punched. Tried to get a $245 refund after the first hole, they refused. 8:55am tee time, Golf shop did not open until 8:00am, by the time we paid and got our clubs on the cart, we had 35 minutes to warm up. Would like to have had more time. Golf course review: A lot of blind shots on the course, severe undulations on the greens. Will not play again, too many goofy holes.

Beautiful weekend at Tetherow!

Stayed at Tetherow over the New Years weekend and had a wonderful stay! The room was huge and it was nice to come back from skiing to enjoy the cozy gas fireplace! Loved the over sized shower and the bed was super comfortable! It was all topped off with a gorgeous view from our room’s balcony! Thomas at the front desk provided top notch service and hospitality to make sure our stay was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed! Couldn’t have asked for a better place, thank you!

Beautiful but too tricked up

24 guys played it this past week. Over half the group are single digit handicaps and all but 4 said they had no desire to play it again. About 5-6 of the greens are so badly designed they are only missing a clowns mouth to put through. Visually beautiful but way too many blind shots and greens that make absolutely no sense.

Golf trip

horrific management and service. Cancelled my reservation despite confirming my t times for a group. They took reservations only to inform us 12 hours before departure despite calling to confirm. GM hung up on me and showed no understanding. Lied and said the board decided only then to later say he was the chair of the board. Terrible!

Beautiful course, non-existent service!

Ever since I’ve seen photos of this course, it’s been on my bucket list. First of all, let me say the course is stunning. The grounds around Tetherow are gorgeous. All the fescue rough and wildflowers around the property are outstanding. The practice areas are top notch and the course was in awesome shape. That was the good stuff. After we paid for our round, we were all alone from a service perspective the rest of the day. The snack bar has nothing whatsoever for breakfast. The cart guys didn’t help get us started at all, so we were left wondering what to do and where to go. We didn’t see a soul the rest of the day. The course is difficult and complex and the signage isn’t very good. It would have been nice to get some help out there. The guys in front of us started to play really slow, so we could have used some help with that. But alas, we saw no one. We pretty much felt like they took our money and left us hanging. And it wasn’t cheap either. For that kind of money, I’d expect to get some level of service. Maybe they make all their money off the residents and don’t need outside play to support them. It was really a bizarre day. I’d give the course 5 stars and service a 2. I didn’t have the heart to rate it lower because the course is so awesome but service is important to me and should be to them as well.
