The private marina at Goble Landing is worth a quick stop for snacks and to scan the river, and especially to check for Purple Martins during nesting season (June through September). The owners have put up houses on the dock pilings, affording close-up views. Also look for Bald Eagle, Osprey, gulls, cormorants, and waterfowl. The nearby tavern serves meals. A $3 parking fee applies for stops longer than 15 minutes.
