McMenamins Lucky Staehly’s Pool Hall

This listing is provided by Explore Troutdale

During the 1970s, when Edgefield functioned as an old folks’ home, one of its most colorful characters was the inimitable Lucky Staehly. Though confined to a wheelchair, it didn’t stop him from lifting weights, participating in (and winning!) events at the 1977 Oregon Wheel Chair Games, good-naturedly chasing women and, notably, becoming quite an accomplished pool player on the tables that once lined Edgefield’s rec room.

Thus, McMenamins christened their game and pool hall in honor of this stalwart fellow. Raise a glass to ol’ Lucky as you check out the five pool tables, dart boards, pinball machines, three shuffle boards, four televisions and juke box. Guests can enjoy McMenamins’ handcrafted ales, wines and spirits along with a unique menu from Edgefield’s pizza kitchen. When it’s cold and rainy out – or even when it’s hot and sunny – head to the elegant confines of Lucky Staehly’s.
