About PlantFest

The Hardy Plant Society of Oregon presents PlantFest, its annual fall lecture and plant sale. This year’s PlantFest Speaker Event features three 15-minute presentations exploring ways to create gardens with beauty, structure, and resilience for the seasons ahead:

  • Bob Hyland — Container Design for Fall and Winter Interest: Discover how thoughtful plant combinations, texture, form, and color can keep containers looking lively and engaging through the cooler months.

  • Brett Rousseau — Structural Pruning for Young Trees: Learn how, when, and where to prune young trees to encourage strong structure, long-term health, and greater longevity.

  • Mulysa Melco — Native Plants for Fall and Winter Gardens: Explore native plants that bring seasonal interest, habitat value, and resilience to the garden through fall and winter.

The lectures and plant sale will be held at the Gregory Forum. Parking on campus is ample and free.

The plant sale is free and open to the public.
