Willamette Valley Vineyards was established in 1983 by Oregon native Jim Bernau with the dream of creating world-class Pinot Noir. Willamette Valley Vineyards has grown from a bold idea into one of the regions leading wineries, listed as one of the top 100 Wines in the World by Wine Spectator Magazine, named “One of Americas Great Pinot Noir Producers” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and dubbed “Winery of the Year” by Wine and Spirits Magazine. Jim believes that Pinot Noir made with consideration for the environment, employees and community simply tastes better. All of the vineyards have been certified sustainable through LIVE (Low Impact Viticulture and Enology) and Salmon-Safe programs. We invite you to learn about the unique story of our winery as you take in sweeping views of the vineyard and valley at our Estate Tasting Room. Enjoy food and wine pairings in a relaxed setting with cozy fireplaces, an expansive patio, spacious courtyard and a 65-foot lookout tower. We also offer Private Tours & Tastings and Small Bites Pairing elevated experiences by appointment. Below are some ways our service has been modified for safety, while maintaining the hospitable service you’ve come to expect:- Exceeding the required Oregon Health Authority guidelines, we have installed a new state-of-the-art UV light filtration in our HVAC system to reduce harmful microorganisms in the air like germs, bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19.- Our facility has also been treated by MicroShield, a self-disinfecting coating that reduces surface contamination.- All tables with chairs are placed at least 6 ft. apart. – Groups are limited to 6 people or fewer.- The Tasting Room Bar will be closed for tastings, but may be used to order wine and food pairings to enjoy outside or to pick-up an order. Our vast outdoor spaces will be open seating and will not require a reservation.- Seated Tastings will use recyclable single-use materials, offer no-touch payment options and are limited to 90 minutes. – Hand sanitizing stations are available upon entry and throughout the tasting room for your convenience.- All staff are required to wear face masks and continue meticulous hand hygiene.- Masks are also required for our guests, except when seated.- We are regularly cleaning all high-traffic locations and tables will be disinfected after each use. Please visit our website for more information.

A must visit Oregon winery
Absolutely spectacular! An amazing experience. Since we stayed in their on-site suite, we enjoyed several days and evenings at the property. The restaurant serves outstanding food, the wines are great and the staff is first class. The Blending Experience is a must for any wine enthusiast. Plus unforgettable views. Thanks to Veronica for the truly special Blending Experience and Sandy, Jessica and Leslie in the tasting room and a special Thank You to Sara and Carol for the wonderful hospitality. Can't wait to return.
Great place to hang out, eat and drink.
Visited while in town for a wedding. Wonderful wine, food and views. We spent several hours talking, drinking and taking in the scenery. What a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Would definitely return.
One stop for Winery near Salem
My husband and I were driving south on I5 and wanted to find a Winery not far from the freeway to try a good Oregon Pinot Noir. We asked alot of people with little help. So we landed at Willamette Valley Winery. What an operation. First the Winery is high on a hill and has a beautiful Valley view. Two, they offer a full restaurant had we known we would have had lunch there. Three the tasting rooms are many various levels where you can be served. This is a place to linger all afternoon as there are so many wines available to try. And there are fireplaces, a bar and tables to sit at to try many selections. It's too large of a tasting room compared to Napa size tasting rooms. I have to say we were sad not to find that Pinot Noir that would knock our socks off but it was a very lovely experience. My husband is a level 2 Sommelier so we are definitely a little harder to please than most and I would recommend for anyone looking for a fun experience.
The perfect girl's trip!
If I could give more stars, I would. Not only for the wine, food, and setting but also for the unparalleled service! Brian is the man who truly made this trip. We would have had fun no matter what, but his energy and his knowledge, and just super fun personality took it to the next level! We can't wait to go back!
Truly a 5 Star experience
A friend and I had the most wonderful experience at this Vineyard. We were treated so well by the staff from the moment we arrived. We did a wine pairing along with a cheese board and lunch. The food and wine was fantastic and very large portions, very reasonable pricing for what we ordered. Beautiful winery and breathtaking views. What made it really special was the entire staff. They made us feel so welcome. Leslie outdid herself on taking care of us as did Jayme. I highly recommend.
