Red Lily Vineyards is committed to a single goal producing the finest Spanish-inspired wines possible. Les and Rachael Martin fell in love with Spanish wines years ago, particularly Tempranillo and its brooding, earthy character, and chose to make these wines our focus. Red Lily Vineyards is named principally for Bolanders Lily, a rare species of red lily found in the neighboring Siskiyou Mountains. However, it also has another, more special meaning. Les and Rachael’s daughter is named Lily and among her many, incredible attributes, she shares their love of wine.

Great wines and beautiful setting
Great stop for wine, simple but tasty food, and oh, the view by the river. Friendly staff, and they have a neat way of offering wine tasting. Definitely worth a stop.

Applegate's Premier Winery!!
The winery is located on the Applegate River in the heart of the Applegate Valley! Cross over the river and enter a magical place! The tasting room is an architectural delight, built on a former feeder barn, there is outside seating around the building with an outside fireplace and outside heaters. Venture down to the river with your bucket of wine to one of the few sandy beaches on the River! Lounge on lawn chairs or gather with a group at one of the many picnic tables and watch the salmon jump. Order lunch from a large menu, if you are at the river the staff will bring it to you! Thursday nights there is music at the beach all summer, with a dance area! We held my husbands surprise retirement party @ Red Lily, after hours with over 200 people! Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Setting on the river with great architecture
We selected Red Lily for a lunch time stop was because we had heard of the picnic area and the wine flight. Wine is provided with the flight of four wine in a 'rack' that we enjoyed on the covered barn patio. We purchased individual glasses of wine and took them with our picnic lunch to a table on the beach in shade of some great trees. The tasting room and attached covered patio is of whole log open beams and very impressive .
