We were passing through the Medford area and stopped in for a wine tasting. My wife enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and I did the wine tasting. I enjoyed the Tempranillo and we ended up buying a bottle of each. Tasting fee was only $16.
I live in the area and have been to all of the wineries. Other wineries have much better wine, better views, ambiance, and friendly staff. Sadly, I would not waste your time on this winery. They all have wine club memberships which are fun because they offer perks to members. I was pressured to join this club, when I cancelled my membership they continued to charge my card and would not respond to my call to discuss the issue. Seems uncalled for, I have never had this unpleasant experience at other wineries in the area….go to Roxy Ann, Paschal, Pebblestone, all of which are great!
My wife and I visited on a Wed afternoon with my Son and Daughter In law who live locally. The young lady who waited on us was swamped to the point we waited so long to close out I decided not to purchase the 2 or more bottles to take with us. The wine fights wonderful, service was pleasant, she was alone servicing tables and preparing the tastings.
Great experience. Beautiful building and grounds, delicious lunch and great wines! I love the hawk labels! Highly recommended!
With 80 other wineries in the surrounding area, there was nothing about this one that really stood out. The view is beautiful, but the views are amazing at most of the wineries you can visit. The wines were okay... My wife and I each had a different wine flight and none of the wines made us want to purchase a full glass, let alone a bottle. They really pushed their wine club, asking if we'd like to join within a minute of walking through the door and then several more times (5 or 6) within our hour long visit. All in all it wasn't a bad experience, but I wouldn't put this winery high on your list if you have limited time.
