Best hidden in plain sight winery in the famous Dundee Red Hills
The vineyards are next to the tasting room, and it is a thrill to inspect these almost fifty-year-old vines. Wine quality starts with the grapes and how the vineyards are cared for. This winery has been a superior quality producer clear back to the 1970s. It is the first Oregon winery to now be operated by a third-generation with winemaker, Jim Arterberry Maresh. They are well-schooled in maximizing the quality of the wine from their grapes. Finally, these are simply "salt of the earth" people who make simply "great wines!"

Great small winery with awesome history
We were fortunate to enjoy an appointed time tasting with Steve and although we didn't get to meet Martha, we did communicate with her via email. She was a true delight in planning ahead, and this visit to Maresh did not disappoint. The setting is stunning on Worden Hill Rd., and hearing the family history from Steve and wandering through their quaint tasting room was a true delight. Having just left one of the larger wineries to stop here, gave us a great experience of the diversity of the valley. We especially enjoyed the Pinot Noir from the Dundee Hills Maresh Vineyard and the Juliard Vineyard. If a visit to the small Red Barn sounds like your kind of winery, do plan a visit to Maresh - the oldest planted vineyard in the valley.

Love this winery
We are so glad we stopped here. We met Steve who told us the history of the winery with a second to none passion! This is a completely difference and unique experience to anywhere else we have visited with amazing wine to enjoy whilst listening to the history of the family. A must visit

Very nice experience!
I visited this winery in early May and was treated to meeting Steve, whose family has been here for several generations growing wine. It was very informal inside and I was treated to several different wines by Powell Estate and Arterberry Maresh. The Pinot Noirs that scored around 95 points were tasty and I bought both that had. There is also a white mixed wine that is very tasty that they sell and I bought one of those. It is a very nice down to earth winery without any pretense, very pleasant and laid back. I would definitely recommend to others looking for a laid back wine experience!

Great wines with history
This is one of the oldest wineries in the Dundee Hills. They offer Aterberry Maresh and Powell Hill wines which are all family made. The tasting room is located in an old barn that has been updated. As you drive up look for the guy on the tractor, that is Jim Sr. doing what he does best,
