Dobbes Family Estate is dedicated to consistently crafting wines that exude the best of Oregon, including traditionally made Burgundian-inspired Pinot Noir and other varietals from Oregon’s Willamette and Rogue Valleys. OUR WINEMAKER: Since 2008, winemaker, Andy McVay has been crafting wines that combine art, science and agriculture as the three pillars that support our commitment to winemaking. With this foundation, Andy’s intent is to craft wines that are complex, diverse and reflect the personality and typicity of their region while setting the stage for new world innovation. Horrible Experience at Member's Only Party
We have been wine members of Dobbes Family Estate since May 2022. Their wine is better than average, however I wanted to write about our experience today at their member's only event. When we got there they were friendly and welcoming. We were given a welcoming glass sparkling wine and we were taken to our seat. I would say at least 20 to 30 minutes later our wine server Emily came to tell us about our flights the new releases. In the meantime several tables were seated around us. Emily was serving them their wine tastes and visiting. It seemed like she knew them which was fine, but she completely neglected us. Since we were in no hurry we didn't care at first. Then the time between tastings increased we still did not say anything. After we finished our tasting which was approx. 2 hrs. (we saw people come and go)She stated there was a complimentary dessert wine to taste. She said the person serving the dessert wine would come out shortly and pour. She did come out and poured at every table around us. At this time we left. We picked up our wine pick up and I called and cancelled our wine membership. We basically ended up being there over 2 1/2 hours. We saw tables around us coming, tasting, finishing, and leaving. Horrible experience!
Very nice winery. We got a reservation at the last minute. Such a nice seating area. All the wines were good. Hanna was a knowledgeable and lovely server.
Wine tasted in a heated igloo - so much fun!! Amazing people here and incredibly wines! We joined the Dobbes family and are so excited that we did. It is on the main road so easy to get to and really pretty!

Dud tasting at Dobbes
I researched wineries for our first visit to Willamette. Dobbes got great reviews. Hence, our visit. I booked a Sunday afternoon appt. as, there is live music at this time. We were expecting a beautiful afternoon . We got the worst experience of our 5 day trip. There was no live music. Covid? ? ( seems to b every excuse these days) the wine was pretty much undrinkable. We wouldn’t know, as we received a sip? Per pour ? Couldn’t wait to leave this place . Dropped $75. For 3 tastings, that were undrinkable . Enclosed is the pic of the actual pour. Dobbes should b ashamed of themselves....go elsewhere !
