Founded in 1998 by Scott & Lisa Neal, Coeur de Terre specializes in producing estate-grown Pinot Noir from our vineyard located in a protective valley in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range. We planted the vineyard, live on the estate, farm the land utilizing only organic techniques and make the wine so you can enjoy Pinot Noir, Syrah, Riesling, Pinot Gris that are a true expression of our work and site. A family business, we would love the opportunity to show you around the beautiful place we call home. Call us at 503-883-4111 to schedule a private tasting visit.

Coeur de Terre is wonderful in every aspect! The Pinot Noir we sampled was outstanding, the setting is gorgeous and our host was very knowledgeable. If you only have a short amount of time to spend in the McMinnville area, do yourself a favor and head straight to Coeur de Terre. All the wines we tasted were good; however the 2014 Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir stood out as exceptional. We only wish we’d ordered more to have shipped home. Special thanks to Melissa for assistance in planning the rest of our day. Her recommendations were spot on!
A Great Wine Find
While on a wine tour in the Willamette Valley, we visited Coeur de Terre Vineyard. What a great find. We sat out on the deck overlooking the vineyard and sampled the delicious wines. The view was so inviting that we could have spent the day. Then enjoyed our picnic there while having a glass of their wine. Wish we lived in the area because this beautiful winery and great wines would be a Sunday or Saturday afternoon destination.
Beautiful setting for an outdoor concert and friendly staff
We visited the vineyard to see the band WE THREE outdoor concert. The view is amazing, the staff were very helpful and it was a great evening. There was a VIP area for wine club members on a nice deck. The tasting room inside is nicely laid out and inviting. We didn’t have any wine while there but we saw many people enjoy bottles and neat glasses they got to keep!
Our best friend Lisa was in Portland visiting my partner & I and we planned a day to go wine tasting at several wineries, our GPS took us down town of the wine country and we wanted a more country setting for our afternoon so I quickly went to my Trip advisor app and found out about Coeur Dow Terre vineyard and a few other country wineries. We decided to stop @ Couer de terre first. The moment we parked we were pleasantly greeted by the cutest little golden lab puppy. He was adorable. We are animal lovers so this was a great first impression, the property was immaculate, the grapes/blocks were well cared for and the tasting room was rustic, inviting, welcoming. We were immediately greeted with warm smiles and a very big welcome. WoW! We are both in the hospitality business so getting such a warm welcome was just what the dr. ordered. Janna was so nice and was engaging with my partner, Lisa the owner was walking by and was introduced to us by Janna. What a treat it was. Lisa decided to side track her chores and spend the afternoon with us and personally tasted ya on her wines. Her attention to detail, our environment, the meaning of life and treasures that goes into her story is pretty special. She’s names some of her blocks of wine after her children, she’s done countless years of research on her property that is amazed us. To hear ones passion and story on how this came about us short of a fairy tale. Lots of love went into this winery, family, farm! If you’re looking for an experience unlike everyone else’s look no further. Her lovely daughter also works in the tasting room, she’s a very delightful young lady that truly loves life! It’s not every day you meet such lovely people that have a passion for giving back, sharing their love for Mother Earth and sharing their experiences. We had such a lovely time, after our tasting we decided to stay right where we were. Nothing and I mean nothing could have topped this off. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and took some bottles at home. I’m still talking about my day yesterday. It was so nice and so refreshing! Thank you, Lisa, Janna & I’m so very sorry but I forgot your daughters name, thank you! We had a lovely time and we will see you soon with some Pok Pok! Keep smiling and keep sharing your delicious wine and story!
