Established in 1980 with an Oregon Trail spirit from 1846 when pioneer Thomas Cox farmed the volcanic Nekia soil on a hill and opened the very first mercantile store in Salem on Ferry and Commercial. Ankeny Vineyard carries on this entrepreneurial gumption with their cutting-edge wines and care for the land, wildlife, and community.

Wonderful setting, delicious food and drink, and a superbly helpful staff!
We held our annual team holiday celebration at the Vineyard. From the outset, Sarah and her team we very accommodating, creative and organized. We arrived to a room full of decorations, piles of pizzas ready for the wood fired oven and a staff to greet and address any member’s needs. The menu changes with the seasons and all of the food was beautifully presented and tasted great. Sarah selected a range of wines for our group to pair with the food and none of them failed to meet expectations. A big shout out to Sarah and the staff for your hospitality!

Nice ambiance and quite surroundings.
Ankeny Vineyards is situated in a quite farmland. A little place where you can enjoy and relax with friends or love one. They have a good wine selection and their wood-fired pizza is perfectly done. We had the pig out pizza with ham, pepperoni, sausage and some sauce and whatever spices they add - it was pretty darn good. We paired that with their 2019 Estate Pinot Noir and finish off with their Chocolate Amore dessert.

An average experience overall.
This is a decent venue with mediocre wines. Their wood fired pizza is always enjoyable. This visit I had the spinach and artichoke dip which was cheesy and enjoyable. I also had a couple of glasses of Rose which was unremarkable at best. They are worth a visit if you are a local or are nearby.
