I'm growing more fond of their in-house made clam chowder. It's more on the thick side which I prefer, plus it eats more like a meal. Plentiful clams. I purchased a quart along with a 1/2 pound of bay shrimp. Mixed together with some grated sharp white cheddar on top and it's supper time! Comfort food at it's finest. Oh, don't forget the garlic bread!

Quaint Little Fish Market
Stopped by this well known business in Florence for a look-see. These little independent fish markets are disappearing so they are increasingly difficult to find. They make their own version of clam chowder which I had to try. A nice rendition with plenty of clams, it sufficed nicely. Their smoked salmon looked and smelled fantastic but the price was much more than I would ever pay.

Such a random hole-in-the-wall place, but absolutely worth stopping for the chowder! They have weird hours, so pay attention and don't be upset if you miss out. Usually have chowder by noon and they close when they sell out of seafood and chowder. There are lovely picnic tables around the side if you can't wait to enjoy your chowder. Highly recommend ordering more than you think you'll want because it's THAT good. Nothing fancy, no bread, etc. just chowder, fresh, pure, and simple. Enjoy!

Fresh Sweet Crab, World Class Chowder
In town for Thanksgiving and stopped for a fresh crab and 2 quarts of Clam Chowder. Fabulous meal. I mean DELICIOUS. My sons (23) and (19) wanted Chowder and boy did we hit the jackpot here! Boys had never had fresh crab before and ate every morsel of the delectable crustacean. Can't wait to come back on our next visit! Yummy! The woman also cleaned our crab for us which was an added bonus!

Great chowder/No smoked salmon
We stopped in for the smoked salmon that we heard was very good via Tripadvisor reviews. They do not have any due to the smoker being broken?! We ordered clam chowder to go which was excellent with plenty of clams and not gloppy.
