A long wait for a decent breakfast

We went to Zell's at rush hour, but the wait was definitely still a little longer than other places around here. Once we were seated, the staff was super friendly and responsive. We had the Florentine Benedict with hash browns (they were out of breakfast potatoes) and a cold brew, the Portabello Scramble with hash browns, Huevos Rancheros, and the Dutch Baby pancake. The Florentine Benedict was by far the best item, the hollandaise was nice and creamy and flavorful and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portabello scramble did the job but was nothing special, as was the huevos rancheros (although the huevos rancheros sauce was sweet, which is interesting but not necessarily good). The dutch baby looked beautiful, but it was really just a flat piece of bread with some berries and was a bit underwhelming. The vibes here are cute and the location is awesome, stick to the classics and get some eggs benedict and you won't be disappointed.

    Great Cafe for casual breakfast.

Great place for casual breakfast. Staff were all nice and attentive. Food was amazing. Had the cornflake French toast, a must try. Also had the chorizo omelet, also super tasty. They give you scones when you first sit down, so good with jam and butter. Coffee was great and when asked for hot tea they provided you with a French press for loose leaf tea, amazing!

    Definitely will return

Good food, attentive service, and classic atmosphere of old neighborhood restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Great Breakfast!

The bacon waffle was excellent! Plenty of quality bacon, and the buttermilk tang in the batter took me back to my mom's bacon waffles. Also really enjoyed the scones they brought out to start with...They we're also serving some small muffins that looked good for starters, too. Friendly people and great service!

    Avocado Burrito delight.

I ordered the avocado burrito and cafe latte. They brought out an appetizer of two biscuits and homemade jam. The burrito was served with delicious and very spicy homemade salsa. Definitely worth it and the prices were extremely reasonable.
