"Giant Burger Works, Patty Melt Flops"
I stopped by Yeong’s Place in North Bend, Oregon — a small, casual spot known for burgers and diner-style food. I tried their Patty Melt and Giant Burger, and here’s the honest take: it’s a mixed bag. The Patty Melt ($12) looked promising, fries included, but the patty was thin and the rye bread tasted like something from a grocery store. Flavor was okay (3.75/5), but value felt low (3/5). A thicker patty and better bread would make it much more satisfying. The Giant Burger was massive. It’s filling and enjoyable, but the flavor reminded me a lot of Carl’s Jr.’s Famous Star — not bad, but not unique. Value-wise, it’s good (4.5/5) because of the portion. Atmosphere is basic and a little shabby: worn tables, a few flies, and a street/gas station view. Takeout is probably the way to go. Service was friendly, but I waited around 25 minutes despite not many customers. Bottom line: Yeong’s Place delivers quantity over wow factor. The Giant Burger fills you up, the Patty Melt disappoints, and overall, it’s a casual spot — not bad, but it doesn’t live up to any hype.

Now THAT's a Good Burger!
What a menu! And haven't seen a pastrami burger since Winchester, California. [Though I got mine with brisket.] Be HUNGRY. Definitely a 4 napkin burger. Don't know what happened with the 1 star family, but we found the service excellent and had a lovely time.

Never again
Very bad experience. So insulted. Won't eat there again. Thanks for a lot of money spent for nothing. Don't treat people like trash and expect to call it good. That's so shameful.

Fresh, juicy, delicious... real burgers.
Got the mushroom Swiss burger with a few fixings and fries. Was a little worried about the weight of the package as I walked it out to the car, and I was right to be. My goodness that was a burger to shame the fast food chains. The meal tasted super fresh - a nice reminder of what a real burger tastes like. It was quite fulfilling, to say the least... If I remember correctly, I did save a bit for later. Anyway, I freakin' love this place.

Open until 700pm
This is the best burger in town, maybe the best on the Oregon Coast. High quality meat with a large selection of toppings, served hot. The old fashioned milkshakes are great too. Yeong’s does not have a maintained website. They used to be on FB, but it is out of date (confirmed by an employee). So be careful what you read online. The DO NOT close at 5pm.
