At Wild Rye, the howl of the high desert can be heard on every plate and tasted in every sip. Every dish is intricately tied to the land, the season, and the lifestyle of the region, whether foraged from the surroundings, grown by Central Oregon farms, or philosophically connected to the desert. The bold, flavorful cocktails offer fresh takes on classics, inspired by the spartan beauty of the desert plains. Savor an elevated dining experience that celebrates the unique character of the region, with stunning views of the Cascades at sunset.

Nice food
Family style dinner was great. We had salmon, chicken and the most amazing macaroni and cheese! Ice cream when brownies for dessert were good. The views while eating are unbeatable!

Nice meal
Very accommodating and nice staff. Food good, not fabulous. Tables spaced out safely and doors open.

Great burger
Had a takeout lunch here with covid keeping the restaurant closed. The lunch menu is small, and nothing tremendously original, but the burger was great. It had a beautiful charred flavor from the grill. The fries were crispy. I also got a delicious winter squash soup. My wife thought it was a bit too gingery, but I liked it for that. It could have used a bit of heat, but I would order it again. If we come back here, I would try the place for dinner. Hopefully by then we can dine in.

Very good resort restaurant
Range Restaurant is the higher end one at Brasada Ranch Resort; it is seasonal, closing down in late September for the Winter. My wife and I had dinner there on a Friday evening. The space is very nice with a great view to the west of the Cascade mountains near Bend/Redmond. We each had a cocktail and olives and almonds, along with grilled padrons to start. We shared a Farm Greens salad, which they happily split for us and was plenty large for two. I frankly don't remember what entree my wife had, but I had hanger steak which came cooked medium rare as ordered, along with a side salad and wonderful fried potato wedges. I brought my own bottle of wine, which they waived the corkage fee on for some reason. The service was very good, and the sunset outside the windows was fantastic that evening. We did not have dessert this visit, but the Brasada Ranch S'mores Board is famous - you go outside by the huge fire pit to cook them.

Gorgeous setting- food needs improvement
I love Brasada Ranch - absolutely gorgeous setting, sunsets are off the charts, mountain views, and wonderful servers. However, the menu needs much improvement. SO many of us are eating healthy foods now, more plant-based, grains, and such. This menu is improving but far too much in the meat direction. At least offer alternative protein sources such as tempe and tofu. A must see in Central Oregon however, and so many services available here.
