Seafood with a view
Recommended by our hotel, which also offered free shuttle service made it a win-win. Although we didn't get a window seat, the booth we had was set in an elevated alcove with a view of Haystack Rock, which, is within walking distance. Our server, Seamus (spelling?), helped us decide on dinner. Even though it was busy, he and the other servers didn't appear harried. That is the mark of a well-run establishment. We enjoyed the salmon with greens and beans and a Dungeness crab bake. A local bottle of Pinot Noir to enjoy with it. Followed that with a berry crisp with Tillamook vanilla ice cream. Delicious meal!

Excellent food. Good ambiance. Staff was fun to chat with.
Excellent food. Had the salmon with beans and greens. Had a nice time sitting at the bar watching football talking to Kyle, Orlando, Logan. Great place.

View of Haystack
Had dinner here while in town with family. Loved the view of Haystack rock! Our food was delicious- particularly the halibut fish and chips, clam chowder and prawns / pasta. We had great service. Restaurant was reasonably priced and had on-site parking. Only downside - if you love an espresso martini, I would skip this one….other than that, this place was super great!

Very good high end dinner with a lovely view, excellent service
Decided to splurge on a nice dinner with a view (made the online reservation a couple of months prior). The Wayfarer is a local institution, hard to argue with a view of the Haystack. Our server, Jeremy, was excellent, friendly and helpful without smothering. Filet mignon steaks were cooked properly. The house salad was excellent, enjoyed the farm fresh greens, sunflower seeds and berry vinaigrette, beautifully composed. Caesar salads were straightforward, not outstanding. Halibut on risotto was very good, risotto on the tight side. Dinner was $60 per person, without drinks or dessert, worth it for a nice evening out with a Haystack Rock beach view (you also get to people watch). High marks for the overall ambiance and very good food -- would give the Wayfarer a 4.5 if decimals were part of the rating process.
