Highly recommended. Especially if you are travelling you will be grateful.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here and luckily the full menu was available also as our son doesn't like turkey. He had steak/frites and was happy. Very high quality American food, nice local wines and draft beer, great service -- we generally don't expect much of food when traveling but we were pleasantly surprised. One thing I really appreciated is that the tables were spaced out nicely for privacy and the music wasn't too loud, you could actually have a conversation with your companions. Prices were reasonable by (by LA standards) my only annoyance was being charged $5 for a basket of (good, warm) sourdough bread. Yes, lots of restaurants are doing this and guess what, that doesn't make it a good idea. We had Caesar salad and calamari to start, my wife and son are really fussy about calamari and loved it here. As noted we had a turkey dinner and a filet/frites and deserts and everything was excellent. Bottom line? We would have eaten here every night if we had not had other commitments.

A GOOD Surprise!
It was a sunny Sunday day to drive up to Hood River for brunch. Our friends took us to this restaurant for our first time. The food, atmosphere, service was unexpected and I can’t wait to take that Columbia river drive up to Hood River again and eat at this delightful restaurant. We will go n the summer, when it’s nice enough to eat outside! What a great view from there!

Wonderful gem in Hood River, OR
This was a wonderful little gem of a restaurant with great views of the Columbia River from their patio. The staff was terrific and, as other reviewers have mentioned, the Hazelnut Chicken is to die for!
