Excellent Fish
We went here twice this week. On a Sunday and mid-week. Both times the fish and chips were done just right. Maybe not the all time best, but top 5. If you don't like seafood, try their hamburgers. I had the bacon cheeseburger on one visit and a smash burger the next. Both are highly recommended. The service has been fast and friendly. This place has a small dining room and it is usually full. I would advise visiting mid afternoon or wait for a nice day and dine outside. You can even bring you dog.

Missed the mark and overhyped.
After hearing about this local establishment for many years, and as one with strong Norwegian heritage, we finally gave it a go. Sadly, we could not see what they hype was all about. Quite busy, but expected for a summer weekend. Once seated, we noticed one waitress and her high school age assistant running to appease the diners. I ordered their fish and chips, and my wife had their shrimp poor boy sandwich. We shared a bowl of chowder. The chowder missed the mark. Flavorless and lacking clams and potatoes. My fish was OK at best, my wife's sandwich actually was quite tasty. Never got a refill of sweet tea as the lone waitress was scrambling to get other customer's orders. With all the hype, it truly missed the mark. We found out as we were paying the bill that the restaurant was up for sale. Maybe that was why the quality was sub par. Hopefully someone with a culinary flair for west coast seafood brings this establishment back to being a great place to dine at once again.

Will never go back.
Yuk! Positively the worst fish & chips EVER!! Greasy, undercooked, and tiny portion of 2 tiny pieces of fish and fries. Asked for them both to be cooked well done, and they were practically raw and super greasy. This place has slowly gone down year after year, but this was the worst ever. Please, do not waste your money! The long lines are people who have not eaten there before. The locals know better....
