Great fish and chips!!!!
Great local bar. It was pretty busy even on a Wednesday night. The say they use locally caught lingcod for their fish and chips and it certainly is good!!! The fish seems more solid and meaty than most cod. Lingcod has a reputation of being a very tasty fish and it certainly lives up to it here. We also had a hamburger that was very good. We both opted for the beer battered steak fries with our meals for $1 extra. I think we will opt for regular fries or onion rings next time back. We are already looking forward to the great food and service on a return trip!

As dining guests, we were invisible.
This is my general go to place when I’m in the area. It’s a dive bar with relatively good food. However, tonight was not the night. We walked in to the pub and it was not too busy at 8:15pm .Two cooks in the kitchen and a bartender for less than 20 patrons. Bartender made it a point to ignore us and serve a large table and his 4 friends at the bar. We sat for 20 minutes. No acknowledgement, menus, water. Nothing but an occasional glance. We have up hope when the bartender was only checking out the table of 8 we sat next to. It’s like we were invisible. So we left. ☹️

Top place for beer and food
As we were staing at a motel jut up the road this was the most convienient spot to try for dinner and beer. We were not disappointed. After a friendly welcome we ordered the fish and chips and my friend ordered a side of onion rings. The food arrived promptly starting with the hugest portin of onion rings I have ever seen. We shared this and the fish and chips arrived shortly after. The beer selection included many local brews which were really tasty. There is a good semi-outdoor area to smoke without getting wet. Overall a great experience.

Disappointing
So disappointed. Came in for Mothers Day, sat on patio with our dog. Went inside to get menus about 15 minutes later our order was taken. About 10 minutes after we got our drinks and condiments. Then another 50 minutes before our food arrived. We both ordered the cod and onion rings served with cole slaw. The fish was burnt, the onion rings were cold and the slaw tasted old. Not once did anyone check on us or refill our drinks. Had to go inside to pay our bill. Not a very nice Mothers Day experience and doubt we will come back ever again.

Amazing
We visited this place 10 years ago and had a good memory, so we tried it again. The night we went they had fresh, pan-fried oysters, and they were absolutely amazing. My wife had fresh fish and chips, some of the best ever! They had beers on tap for most tastes; we went craft local and again, amazing! There was only one server, it was a very busy evening with a mix of locals and vacationers, and she was, yes, amazing! It is an older place, and at first glance you might be put off. Just sit down and order. You will likely love it.
