The hot Cinnamon rolls and coffee were perfect before our crab and fishing trip! We own an Airbnb The Cozy Crab cottage a block away so we eat there often. There is patio seating overlooking the bay and every day they bake fresh!!

This was our third choice restaurant, the other two closed when we visited. The shrimp fish and chips was the special that day, so we went with that option along with a bowl of chowder. The chowder was nondescript and left me with the impression that it was not made in house. The shrimp fish and chips then arrived and the fish looked like uniform pressed and breaded patties and the shrimp exhibited the same flattened appearance. My assessment was that the protein came out of a bag distributed by a food service company. One the bright side, the french fries were stunningly good and I ate every one of them. Sitting on a Winchester Bay boat dock on the Oregon Coast I was disappointed that I was being served bulk processed food,

Best lox and bagel ever! Great breakfast platter.
This place is wonderful and I highly recommend it for breakfast. Seek it out and eat there! It’s in an unlikely space, inside a “mercantile” shop by the small harbor in Winchester. There are only a few tables inside. We ordered at the window and had a delicious breakfast platter of eggs, bacon and quality sausage, hash browns and biscuit for my husband, expertly cooked to order with wonderful blackberry jam. I had the best lox and bagel I’ve ever had in my life, no exaggeration. It came with a very generous portion of tender Norwegian salmon, cream cheese. capers, red onion and even a sprinkling of fresh dill. It was so beautifully prepared, like a work of art. The cook (or owner, not sure) obviously takes pride in serving good food. The prices are reasonable too. I can’t recommend this little eatery enough. Definitely try it!
